NAPS has partnered with the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) to launch the NAPS National Scholarship, offering college women the opportunity to be awarded $2,000 for use toward tuition or books. The scholarship winner will be determined through an essay contest hosted by NAPS.

NAPS has partnered with the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) to launch the NAPS National Scholarship, offering college women the opportunity to be awarded $2,000 for use toward tuition or books. The scholarship winner will be determined through an essay contest hosted by NAPS.

HOW TO ENTER

NAPS encourages aspiring businesswomen from all areas of study to participate in this scholarship essay contest.

To enter, applicants must submit a 500-700 word essay on how you have overcome challenges in academic, personal or business environments that have equipped you with the knowledge and skills to succeed in your specific area of study or industry.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be female students currently enrolled in college.

Along with your essay, you must include the following information:

• Full Name
• Email Address
• Mailing Address
• College
• Expected Year of Graduation
• Phone Number
• Brief Bio About Yourself (please limit to 150 words or less)

The essay and accompanying information must be submitted to scholarships@napsmexico.com no later than Dec 31, 2015 by midnight Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Richard Jaime and William Lew, the principals of North American Production Sharing, Inc. (NAPS), understand the importance of having access to higher education and hopes that this partnership will bring both opportunity and awareness to aspiring business women.

About the ABWA Scholarship Fund:

Since its creation in 1953, the Stephen Bufton Memorial Education Fund (SBMEF) has offered support for women by opening doors that grant them greater access to higher education. Over the years, the ABWA has awarded over $17 million in scholarships to more than 16,000 women in the United States and today, the organization is regarded as one of the most respected national grant scholarship programs in the country. The longstanding success of the ABWA has been made possible by generous contributions from organization partners such as NAPS. The ABWA has a passion for moving women forward in education and business, empowering women through its scholarship fund.

The Mission of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.

SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINES AND RULES

Applicants must submit their essays and accompanying information by midnight December 31, 2015 Pacific Standard Time (PST). Essays will be evaluated by the ABWA Board of Trustees in order to determine the most qualified scholarship candidate. Selection of the contest winner will be made by January 31, 2016 and contacted by phone and email using the information provided by the applicant during submission. The awarded scholarship money ($2,000) must be used toward the winner’s tuition or books. For the scholarship to be awarded, there must be a minimum of three qualified applicants that have completed the entire process. Checks not cashed will not be reissued and scholarship will be returned to the general SBMEF fund. (This is a rare occurrence but has happened).
